    Aomori Prefecture’s Gold Line, which connects Mt. Hakkoda with the Lake Towada area, has re-opened after winter weather forced it to stop running for four months. Winter may be coming to an end, but as this FTV news video shows, the buses must still travel through a snow corridor:

    Snow Hits Tokyo

    Significant acululation of snow is pretty rare around Tokyo, so the snowstorm that hit the city today is pretty big news. As the video above shows, the snowfall of between 10 and 20 centimeters has created some pretty beautiful scenes.

    Red Pandas Play in Hokkaido Snow

    The male news anchor listening to the narration of this news story about Red Pandas [also known as Lesser Pandas] playing in the snow at Hokkaido’s ultra-popular Asahiyama Zoo experience a “kawaii” overload:

    The zoo will be open this year until the 29th, and is scheduled to re-open on January 2nd.
