Adult Film Actress Kills Self With Hydrogen Sulfide Gas

The number of people killing themselves with hydrogen sulfide gas continues to grow, and it has come to light that one recent suicide victim was Miyuki Asou(麻生美由樹), a semi-famous gravure idol who had turned to making adult films:

This 22 years old woman had been a stages actress when she was a high school student. Later, she entered in the show business world, and until recently, she’d been active as a gravure idol. However, she couldn’t become so popular, and this February, she challenged to a porn video. And thanks to her past career, she could become one of popular actresses.

But it seems this change and transfer was a stress to her, and on March 18th, she killed herself in a bath room at her apartment. Before she passed away, it is rumored that she had notified her suicide on her blog, but her agency has already closed it, so there are no means to confirm it.

Aki Hoshino Photos

April 14th was Orange Day, a quasi-holiday created by the fruit industry in Japan to celebrate the greater consumption of oranges. Central to this year’s promotional activities was an ‘Orange Day Princess’ event that honored 31-year-old gravure idol Aki Hoshino:

Hoshino told reporters that she planned on continuing her swimsuit modeling career, adding that she hopes to get married before she turned 40. Much like the oranges she was promoting, she considers herself best eaten when ripe.

Big Breasts Win Verdict For Japanese Gravure Idol

Odd news for today:

A Japanese pin-up model says that her big breasts have not only boosted her career — they also helped her overturn a court verdict.

The bikini model, who goes by her professional name Serena Kozakura, was cleared after a court decided she was too well-endowed to squeeze into a room through a hole, as she had been found guilty of earlier.

“I used to hate my body so much,” Kozakura, who has appeared in product commercials on television, told the private Asahi network in an interview aired Tuesday.

“But it was my breasts” that won in court, she said.

The case was splashed through the Japanese media on Tuesday, with the Asahi network even inviting her to demonstrate how she could not fit through the opening.

Kozakura, 38, was convicted last year of property destruction after a man said she kicked in the wooden door of his room and crawled inside, apparently because he was with another woman.

Kozakura had said the man made the hole himself.

In her appeal, the defence counsel held up a plate showing the size of the hole and said that she could not squeeze through with her 110-centimetre (44-inch) bust.

“The judges were very good-mannered as they showed no expressions on their faces. I guess they’re well-trained,” Kozakura said.

Leah Dizon to Retire?

It is being reported that Leah Dizon, the American model who has enjoyed great popularly since bursting onto the Japanese gravure idol scene a couple years ago, may be retiring:

Leah Dizon, an American singer currently popular in Japan, will retire in March due to stress, weekly magazine Shukan Gendai reports. According to the magazine, Dizon will not renew any contracts with advertisers or her agency.

A showbiz insider was quoted by the magazine as saying “She was very shocked by some DVDs that were released in Japan, which include nude videos taken while she had been modeling in the U.S.” Dizon has also been struggling to sing in Japanese.
