Jero & Kirin Fire

African American Enka singer Jero has got a CM:

Enka newcomer Jero has been given his first TV commercial appearance. He is now the face of Kirin Beverage’s canned coffee product Kirin Fire Cafe Zero. The ad will begin rotation on May 21.

The official site of his Kirin Fire campaign is scheduled to open on May 20th.

While we’re on the topic of commercials, it has also been reported that the newest chapter of the highly successful Softbank “White Family” CM series will introduce a cat character to the cast.

Softbank Dog Releases Photo Book

The two dogs that play the role of the father the very popular series of Softbank Mobile commercials currently airing on Japanese TV (example above) have released a special photo book:

The book has pictures of daddy dog posing in various famous Tokyo areas such as Tokyo Tower, Roppongi, Harajuku, and even Shibuya’s Hachiko statue. Some of the pages include thought bubbles expressing cute or witty things daddy dog is saying, while others rely on general photo cuteness.

The second half of the video includes an interview with Dante Carver, the American actor who plays the role of the brother in the Softbank commercials. In a mixture of English and Japanese, Dante tells the camera that daddy dog is always working hard. Dante also claims to be releasing a photo book of his own.
