Hiroko Mima : Miss Universe Japan 2008

Japan has decided on its representative to this summer’s Miss Universe pageant: 21-year-old Hiroko Mima has been crowned Miss Universe Japan 2008.! Here are some photos from last night’s ceremony:

Japan’s Hottest Schoolgirl Moms
Earlier this week, Let’s Go to School aired the “I Wore My Daughter’s Uniform Contest,” a beauty competition in which mothers of junior high and high school girls wore their daughter’s school uniforms. All of the women were in their 30′s or 40′s, and a few shocked the audience with how they could pass for actual schoolgirls!

The prettiest/youngest-looking mom was selected by a vote of schoolgirl audience members and celebrity judges. Did you agree with their choice?

Beautiful French Women
The same Japanese TV show that brought us Colombia’s most beautiful women, Thailand’s hottest ladyboys, and Taiwan’s most beautiful women travels to Paris to find that city’s most beautiful woman. As in the previous cases, the idea is to find a pretty girl and have her introduce the host to a friend she considers better-looking than herself, repeating the process until the most beautiful woman is found:
