Taiwanese Ultranationalist Tries to Visit Senkaku Islands

A Taiwanese ultranationalist tried to take a small fishing boat to the Senkaku islands yesterday, but was forced to turn back after encountering patrol boats:

The boat, escorted by two Taiwanese patrol vessels, turned around after a brief standoff with the Japanese side and was expected to return to a port in northern Taiwan around midnight, the coastguard and local media said.

It was the latest of a number of incidents in recent years involving a standoff between Japanese patrol craft and Taiwanese activists trying to sail to the disputed area to press Taipei’s claim.

Just let him in instead of making a fuzz! After all, what difference is he going to make when he lands on Senkaku Island?

That is almost like saying its OK for a person to walk onto your property without permission and claim it as his. Or, even if he doesn’t claim it has his, it’s still just one guy so what harm could he possibly do besides tell his friends about your land and bring them all over next time for a party without inviting you. A party. On your own land. You’re not invited to it … I would imagine most land owners wouldn’t like that very much.

I’m sure you wouldn’t be having those sentiments if it were the other way around, if some Japanese nationalist tried to enter foreign territory on a boat and ‘claim’ the land.

In that case you’d probably blast the ‘ignorant’ and ‘hateful’ Japanese person for trespassing, violating international laws, and being ignorant of their bloody past. Or something lol.

Yeah, I will probably would because of your false accusation that I am somehow bias against Japanese people. To be honest, I don’t give a damn if either side claims island or not. I am Just amused at Japan and other Asian countries’ animosities.
