Hooters Beer Garden in Odaiba

Hooters is opening a summer beer garden in Tokyo’s Grand Pacific Le Daiba hotel:

Because it’s a beer garden and not a full-fledged restaurant, it will only be open during summer: from June 20th to August 31st. ＜p>

It will be the second Hooters in Japan. The first restaurant opened last year in Akasaka.

In addition to it’s famous wings, Hooters is serving some Japanese-style dishes. There will be a “Hooters Curry” lunch set, as well as edamame:

Hooters is what I take my Japanese visitors to in the States. Now what will I have to show them?

Are you serious? Hooters?

When my Japanese friends visit the US, I always take them directly from the airport to the nearest strip club. Fortunately, in my state FULL NUDITY is allowed, so it’s quite an experience. The food and drinks are not as nice as what Hooters serves, but then again, who really goes to Hooters for the food?

My Japanese friends are always nice enough to treat me to nice hostess clubs in Tokyo when I visit them….

Living in the UK I have never experienced Hooters, is it any good? Yea you can see buxom ladies but do you pay a premium for that? I might just prefer hassling the ladies in the izakaya instead.

Eh the food ranges from average to sub-par depending on the location. I’ve never quite understood the attraction myself. If you just want to see girls, go to a strip club.
Quite frankly I think with the amount of girls bars and hostess clubs already populating Japan Hooters is going to have some stiff competition.

Hooters in Los Angeles sucks. Poor food preparation (stuff arrived cold, poor presentation, etc), very poor service. That’s generally the case in Los Angeles restaurants though.

Hooters in Florida rocked! Great food, wings arrived at the table within seconds of leaving the fryer. Great service, too. I was there for two hours and never had to pour my own beer because the girls were always around checking up on us. Honestly, I think the only time I’ve had service that good has been in Japan.

As long as Hooters in Japan follows the Florida Hooters model and not the Los Angeles model, I’m sure they’ll do fine.
