I own some of these on DVD. My Japanese isn’t good enough to fully understand all the details being talked about, but between the photos/video and what I can pick up in the language, they are pretty entertaining. Definitely will check out the YouTube versions. Didn’t even know they existed.

Its a shame how the English voice over is so dull and how the Japanese voice still can be heared the awesome music in the background they suppress.

Used to love watching these when I lived in Japan, but never got the English language version.

I didn’t notice it up there, but there was one about the development of Japanese language text input into computers (before the days of Windows and Mac with their own IMEs). That was pretty interesting.
