Scamming Paid Parking Lots

How can you tell that a country doesn’t have a lot of violent crime?

Check the evening news. If they devote 15 minutes to tracking down people who don’t pay for paid parking, you’re probably in a country without much violent crime:

It’s not subway rape. It’s groping. Yes, both are bad, but being raped on a train and being groped are two very different things.

Why assume that there aren’t already news reports about chikan and elder abuse? (Far more than reports about illegal parking, in fact.)

The most extreme ‘penny pinching’ people I know also happen to be the wealthiest. (or yen pinching as the case may be)

Perhaps this is partly how they become so wealthy? Hard to become rich if you spend all your money before it can accumulate.
