Cat With a Weird Meow

“Nanikore” finds a cat in Shizuoka prefecture that has a weird-sounding meow:

About one year ago, the Romi the cat started making these kinds of sounds. He only makes them at night, and only around dinner time. It seems that it’s his special way of saying, “hurry up and bring me food, you jerks!”

Sounds like nobody in the TV studio has ever owned a siamese. They’re a little higher pitched than this one, but make the same strangled croaking sound. All. The. Time.

It sounds like the cat is saying, “Ooi!”

As in “hey” in English.

Of course the cat is gonna make weird noises. It’s living part of it’s life in a cage.

Yes, it’s crazy, but they see as normal to have pet like cats in cages. I’ve seen dogs too in friends houses

If I heard my cat making that noise I’d probably crap myself in fear, then give it food whilst holding various religious objects in an attempt to quell the hungry demon that resides within!
