Misty Garden Humidifier Requires No Electricity

Just get a few coffee filters, a hang them over a little dish drying rack in a pan with some water and voila! Same effect for a few yen.
Or get a 100yen atomizer pump spray and put water in it, that’ll boost humidity instantly and cheaper.

And 3% humidity right next to the pan is pretty damn pathetic. (Since even laboratory grade electronic humidity sensors are typically accurate to +/- 3% relative humidity. 2000 yen for something that is a detection error after 2 hours? No thanks.)

Don’t see how it would yield any noticeable benefit physiologically either.

Now, it gets worse.
They don’t fully show the temperature in the after photo. Relative humidity changes with temperature even if the moisture content of the air is constant. (This is related to the whole reason air feels so dry to us in winter when we heat up our homes, thus all the “news stories”(paid advertising) about humidifiers recently.)

It’s quite possible that the change is RELATIVE humidity shown here is just the result of a slight change in air temperautre, and this gadget is having even less actual effect. If the room temperature dropped 0.9C, then the rel humidity would jump from 33% to 36% all on its own.
(Though it also applies in reverse, if the temperature of the room happened to go up, then it means this gadget actually works slightly better than advertised.)
But without knowing the after temperautre, we can’t know.
