Really Low Elevator Button

An elevator in Fukui that has a button very close to the ground:

The button is apparently there to help people who are carrying stuff and can only hit the button with their feet.

Awesome idea. So, uh, are the floor call buttons inside near the ground too?

I wish all buttons and door handles were like that…then I wouldn’t have to touch them.

the elevator at my office building has voice recognition floor selector on the inside.

all you have to do is say “SECOND FLOOR” and the second floor indicator lights up and
it takes you to second floor.

the only problem is that we have quite a few non-English speaking staff who pronouce
“SECOND FLOOR” like “SACK-UND WHO-LOWER” and the system can’t recognize it. (so they
end up having to press the floor buttons manually)

There is nothing out here, so at least we have this button!
