Tsushima Cat Caught on Film

The Tsushima cat is a very rare subspecies of leopard cats that only live on the island of Tsushima. Only about 100 of them are known to exist in the wild, so when makes an appearance in broad daylight and gets caught on film, it’s a newsworthy event.

Here’s a clip that was filmed a few days ago:

If only there were some traditional Japanese cat wranglers to “research” a sustainable number of “samples” in order to understand them better. Of course the leftover “samples” could always be used in school lunches (waste not want not and all that).

I was just shocked at how long it took the cat to notice the man. Their *ahem* Cat like reflexes and keen senses are usually top notch.
