That’s so cool , I heard that people in Japan, they don’t like to put too much colors for foods. I don’t want to eat it, but kids loves it.:)

Does fondant taste all that good compared to cream or butter icing?

Think soft colored crayons and you’ll have a pretty good idea how fondant tastes.

In other words, it’s crap, and cake “artists” have forgotten that first and foremost ITS A CAKE AND ITS MEANT TO BE A TASTY TREAT, not a painting.

I don’t know what crayons taste like…

Our homemade fondant taste like sort of marshmallows and flavor with strawberry extracts.
I use fondant to create interesting shapes and figures for your cake that you wouldn’t be able to do with plain frosting.
I always cover my cakes in blackcurrant and cheese cream first, and then put the rolled fondant on top.

Some people really like the taste, and those who don’t generally peel it off.
It’s a tasty treat edible painting.

Amazing thing is that butter cream is really easy to colour and mould and will always taste much better than fondant.
