Vending Machine Distributes Free Yoghurt
Vending machines that distribute free samples of Danone yoghurt have been set up inside Osaka’s Diamor shopping mall:
Five thousand yoghurt drinks were distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
It was a very clever gimmick. If Danone had just handed out free samples on the street, nobody would report it as news. If they set up a free vending machine, it’s something new and interesting! As you can see, they have got a person who supervises and hits the buttons and hands each customer the product, defeating the entire purpose of having a machine.
