DPJ Politician: Raise Men’s Salaries, Keep Women at Home

Japanese women’s groups are protesting after a senior DPJ politician told an international conference of female entrepreneurs that Japanese women like to :

Yoshikatsu Nakayama, vice minister of economy, trade and industry, made the remarks during the Women’s Entrepreneurship Summit on Oct. 1 in the central Japanese city of Gifu, which was jointly hosted by Japan and the United States.

“Japanese women find pleasure in working at home and that has been part of Japanese culture,” Nakayama said during the conference attended by around 300 businesswomen and other participants from the 21 member economies of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum.

“That should be given more credit through (raising their husbands’) salaries, but it has become impossible as the situation surrounding men became severe,” he said.

The 65-year-old politician who holds the third-highest position at the industry ministry also said that Japanese women hold the power behind the throne, and repeated that it was part of Japanese culture for them to stay at home.

Nakayama must have not been very smart if he thought these kinds of statements would be well-received at a conference for female entrepreneurs.

According to Sach in his book “The End of Poverty” one of the things that the nation need to imporve qualities is Equality. If there is a gap between two groups, it tend to worse the society.
I think both genders deserve the same rights, however, perhaps to avoid family relation problems woman should have rights to at least have part time jobs to help the family. The mother should have the rights to work on things that she like, but at the same time do her duties as mother and help children to solve their problems regarding education and their relation problems with other people.

There’s a certain tribe, I think it was in a rural part of China, where the roles are switched. Women have more rights there than men and usually it’s the women that make the decisions. It seems that they get along just fine that way.

Our surroundings make us the way we are, and much of it due to the dictations of the society we live in.

Raise Womens Salaries, Keep Men At Home

There are thousands of tribes like that. Hell, in the Nordic countries it is increasing common for fathers to be the ones to be the stay at home parent/primary caregiver of children while the mother works, and considering that Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland all rank extremely high in overall happiness and quality of life, I don’t think those countries are exactly falling down around their feet.

A friend of mine had 3 kids, and both have full time jobs. They can get money, however, their children live under bad situation regarding their relations with parents and classmates. They dont respect parents, and they are unable to understand the society, simply because of lack of good orientation from their mother. That is too sad. If the mother want to work, she can, but she has to remember of her responsability with her kids too.

The kids don’t respect their parents not because the mother doesn’t stay with them at home, but because the parents are stupid.

If the stupid mother always stays with the kids, it would be more damaging to the kids.

Most of the Japanese had been farmers for over two thousand years.
Not only men but also women used to toil in the rice fields all day long.

Keeping women at home is not at all part of Japanese culture.

What does this have to do with the article?

Other first world countries such as America and other countries in Europe all have a much larger force of full-time female workers but do not have the same birth-rate and ageing population problem that Japan does.
(As I’m guessing you seem to think that more women in the workforce means less procreation)

Somebody has to take care of the kids, that’s what parents are for most of all, then you have babysitters,
nurseries, relatives, daycare center, school DUH
Making a living and enjoying your life is not all about just going to work, making money and go to bed everyday folks!
Like it or not nothing’s free in this life
You get what you work for and you pay for period!

Hope you realize life is way more than that and that life is only once!

Traditionally the wife of a Japanese household works bloody hard. Taking care of all the check balancing/bills, house work, and primarily looking after the children.

I strongly believe that its very good for the wife to be at home to look after the children when they are very young, but once the child is in school I see no reason why the wife can’t work. As long as some arrangement has been made so that the household is maintained. How that work is shared between the husband and wife is open for discussion.

On the other hand, I think its very unfair that salary men in Japan are expected to participate in nomikai’s (company drinking parties) so regularly, while its taboo for the wives to go out and socialize with their own friends. I always encourage my wife to go out and socialize with her friends, with me looking after our daughter.

I admit that it felt great being the sole breadwinner in my household for so long. I think most men in Japan take pride in being the sole provider for their families. Its a very natural-feeling arrangement that I don’t expect my western counterparts to fully understand. I admittedly don’t share in the housework as much as I should, but I’m trying to be more helpful now that my wife is working part time.

Traditional cultures survived fine for over 3000 years. In the last 50 years cultures are collapsing simply because the Powers that Be (the Global Elite) have socially engineered humans to accept such nonsense as feminism and gay and lesbian agenda.

Don’t be ridiculous. You are equating “traditional” with “men being breadwinners and women staying at home and taking care of the children”

Traditional according to WHOSE culture? Not everyone on the internet is bloody European so stop banding about the term traditional in relation to this as if European traditions are the only traditions that ever existed and apply to everyone in the world. I’m Igbo (Nigerian) and in MY culture, for thousands of years BOTH men and women worked but men mostly did farmwork while women were the economic powerhouses and brought home major bacon. Women ran businesses (selling food, clothes, jewelry, household items, renting out lodgings to travelers, etc) and traveled a lot for business, did the accounting and managed the family’s savings,and so on. They also took care of their children but their businesses came FIRST because they had a lot of things to do.

It was only when the stupid missionaries and colonists arrived from Britain that everything just crumbled because they were teaching everyone that women should be in the kitchen and the man is the head of the house and other nonsense that led to the brutally chauvinistic atmosphere and lack of regard for women in Nigeria today.

So please! Be very careful of what you call “traditional”. I do not appreciate you applying Europe’s traditional values to the rest of the world who might hold very different practices and values as traditional and quite frankly might not even give a shit.

You missed the key points: social engineering and global elite. The global elite want feminism to spread to increase the tax base therefore enrich themselves. Also they use feminism as a form of proganda to get women voluntarily give up their roles as wives and mothers which dissolves the concept of family and hence naturally depopulates the earth (another one of their agendas). You only need to look at Japan’s low birth rate and see how this ingenious plan is working oh so well. Instead of the natural role of mother and wife they become corporate slaves and at reduced costs to boot.

It is a sad world we live in where humans only exist to become slaves to a banking elite whose debt we must pay back through our blood, sweat and labor. We human slaves have no time to create joy or love, or to be spiritual. This is our modern condition that cuts across all modern cultures.
