That has to be the most ridiculous-looking foldable bike I’ve ever seen.

Only very stupid people would buy such dangerous kind of bike. Lets face it… it blatant obvious that is damn dangerous design.

Pre-crash, the design dynamics look extremely suss. Combined with probably lower quality alloys is a recipe for disaster.

I see 2 points from this –
1) Are Japan’s consumer protection laws / safety evaluation procedures for local & imported goods up to scratch? ie – this product in current form, should not have been available.

2) Bicycle helmets may not be lifesaving devices, but they surely help prevent serious head/facial injuries. Never seen a bicycle helmet safety promotion program here. In my neck of the woods it’s compulsory for junior high students to wear helmets – but not for elementary & senior high students. So logical?

Where is the expose on Japanese bicycles? I had a folding bike made by Bridgestone (a Japanese company), hit a curb and the front bolts that hold the wheel in place snapped. I didn’t notice until I paused on a hill and rolled back a little, at which point my wheel fell off…

The fact that the front tube didn’t snap and faceplant you into the ground is a good indicator it’s not as bad an issue as this one has.

I agree with Vonskippy….also its not a mountain bike, it to be used only in short trips on rather flat surfaces…..you pay for what you get, I never buy things at daiso
