Japanese Bra Makes Breasts Look Smaller

According to this news report, polls showed that 10% of Japanese women wanted bras that actually made their breasts look smaller, so a company has created a bra that does just that:

For some women, large breasts make them feel fat. Others feel like they can’t comfortably wear certain shirts and tops. One woman interviewed said that she can’t wear some t-shirts because the images on the shirt will appear stretched out.

Wacoal’s new CuCute bra helps flatten the overall appearance of a woman’s chest, making it a perfect product for women who don’t want their chests to stand out. Because their product has hit a niche that has pretty much gone unexploited, Wacoal says that the sales so far have been doubled their expectations.

Well, that’s a new one. But I guess the demand was there if it is selling.

Now all that’s left in this untapped market is the male version which makes a man’s asset look smaller.
You may laugh now, but I’m sure all the men here have had an experience at least once where they had to hide that they were turned on at an … inconvenient occasion.

Actually, kids, you can purchase a “minimizer” bra at pretty much any department store in the United States. A search at Macy’s turns up 38, even.

The only “new” thing about it is its market in Japan…*if* that’s even new.

Yeah, the comments so far demonstrate that the commenters don’t know too many women. I don’t know who’s having a slower news day–Japan Probe or the news show in the clip.

It’s possible that until Japanese women’s bodyfat edged up from “nonexistent” to “minimal,” there weren’t enough outliers with large enough chests to want a minimizer, so I suppose it’s possible that minimizers are completely new there. I’m betting it’s more likely that minimizers are a niche product, and that they’re just new to a particular mainstream brand or something. Investigative journalism this isn’t.

you also have to consider the cultural point of view. When Japanese women wear kimonos or yukata, the best “look” (or the ideal look) is completely straight and flat, like a willow as one Japanese friend explained to me. so to wear traditional dress, many women tightly bind their breasts as flat as possible. I think this may also be part of the reason behind this.not so much as this type of bra being a novelty, it is large breasts padded bras that have been the novelty.

Women with larger chests,generally can’t wear tight kimono’s cos it hurts having them tightened under the kimono. So they just make do. But in this case, the bra in the vid should help it even out the valleys.

I can kinda understand, if the girls are kinda sporty and have more than enough breastsssss. It might effect their playing ability.

but in most cases, I figure, if you got it… flaunt it. Every chick has a right to feel sexy for whatever reason.

This is probably for girls who don’t want a boyfriend or wanna look too attractive. I dunno.

The girls should be glad to have a (really) big chest because that’s what is means to be a woman: hot, sexy and busty.
