This Buddhist Statue Has a Weird Face

A “Nani Kore” worthy Jizo statue in Hachioji, Tokyo:
Apparently the statues have been there for over a hundred years, and the weird face we now see on one of them was added sometime in the early Showa period. The statue had somehow lost its head, and a new makeshift head was created by sticking together some stones.
