Japan’s National Maritime Research Insitute

ATV’s foreign reporter team [included Sahel Rosa] visits the National Maritime Research Institute and check out a machine that can make a heart shape in a water pool:
Apparently the machine can also be used for safety-related tests, and the shape-drawing thing is just added perk. They also check out a much larger pool, which has a similar water manipulating device in it.
If you’re interested in touring their facilities, they’ve got an visitor information page in English here [advanced notice is required].
