Ultra Fat Cats in Japan

“Nanikore” seems to be running out of some its more traditional wacky material, so in recent weeks it has started to feature hyper obese cats (first a 15kg cat, then a 9.5 kg cat):

Fattest cat I ever knew was around 20 lbs (10 kgs?) These cats take the cake, they’re definitely unhealthy, but at least they look happy.

the owners are these cats are completely at fault.

cats eat whatever you give them… it’s not like your average house cats can
open the fridge and get beers and ice cream… or open canned cat food by themselves…

by the way,do they have cat sumo wrestling in Japan?

I had a 18-20lb cat. Even the vet said he was only about 2-3lb overweight; he just had a very large bone structure.

The first cat seems amazingly okay for being that huge. The second cat is definitely unhealthy though, the way that it’s breathing and the condition of the fur. I wouldn’t be surprised if it has some tumor or disease that caused it to blow up. Poor thing.

Male American short hair weigh usually between 11 and 15lb (5-6.8kg). That cat is really fat. I don’t know the breed of the first cat.

The biggest breed, the Maine coon (male) weigh between 15-25lb (6.8-11kg). Even if the first cat is a maine coon (what I doubt) he is very, very obese. He is weighing the double of my lhasa apso who I think is fat too.
