100 Animals in One Small Apartment

The most recent episode of NTV’s “Unchiku-kun Shirisugi” featured a woman who has filed her small apartment with 100 animals of 40 different species:

She her job only brings in about 150,000 yen a month and almost all of it goes towards her pets. She’s even in the process of incubating more bird eggs so that she can increase the size of her personal zoo.

Nobody comments on it, but I’m sure her apartment must smell like a horribly mixture of 40 different types of animal poop.

Yeah. I have done quite a bit of translation work for TV companies.

I rarely watch these kind of programmes because the majority of the content is set up.

Remember the report about foreigners messing about on in Tuskiji a few months back?
I know the guys who were riding on the carts were paid by the TV company – they work for a gaijin tarento agency.

I think it’s a yarase too. Impossíble to live that way without the complaints about the noise and smell. And there is no landlord in Japan whose would allow this. Unless she has no neighbor. Plus, the floor is too clean (no pooh!) and there is so many pets walking around.

But if it’s true, it’s not fair. I couldn’t have a single cat while I was in Japan.

Maybe she is just a tidy person. We can’t really say, right? But I admit it is odd to see that the cops or landlord or PETA for that matter have never knocked on her door to have an explanation. I feel sorry for all those animals, not to mention that type of environment CAN cause a potential health risk with all those animals in tight proximity. She probably means well, but she is a bit batty and might be in need of some serious counseling

yeah, it’s clearly fake.

There’s no way she could live there without getting a mix of the most lethal parasite-propagated diseases, including avian flu and yersinia pestis.

This person should have her animals taken away and sent to homes where they can be taken care of properly, and she should be committed.
