It’s not a surprise that his fame lasted longer than that one foreign jpop chick Leah Dizon “some” of you may remember. However, I’m not a fan of either of them.

I’ve never heard of Leah Dizon, but I’ve heard about Jero for years. I think he has more going for him because his ability and success was such a surprise to everyone.

Leah Dizon is a model and if you look hard enough in Tokyo you’ll probably find something with her in it (I remember back in January or so there were sticker advertisements in trains with her face on it). Anyways, she’s an American. She also started a music career, which did relatively good considering what she was.

I don’t know if I can necessarily say I am really a fan of Jero. Enka really isn’t that popular in Japan, so when I really think about it it seems to me like the whole reason he’s famous is that he is an American with a somewhat not-enka look to him. Which doesn’t win my respect.

Leah Dizon got pregnant and basically disappeared mid-career. She might make a comeback eventually, but somehow I seriously doubt it. She wasn’t that popular.

Actually recently she announced that her next album is in the making.

Unfortunately I see her name mentioned everywhere too much for my liking. x__x

Let me rephrase that by saying “she’s well known” rather than the “she’s popular” conclusion you could have taken.
I definitely would agree that she was not exceedingly popular, though I would say it’s safe to say she none the less became famous in Japan.
