Chinese Navy Helicopter Harasses Japanese Ship

Japan has formally complained to China about Chinese navy helicopters buzzing Japanese MSDF ships in the waters south of Okinawa:

Japan protested to Beijing after a Chinese naval helicopter made a “dangerous” fly-by around one of its destroyers in high seas off a southern Japanese island chain on Wednesday, the government said.

A similar incident took place in the area near the Okinawan islands earlier this month and came as Tokyo warily watches China’s growing military might.

“The flight was made extremely close and it was an act which was dangerous to safe navigation of the vessel,” the foreign ministry said in a statement, adding the protest was filed through the Chinese embassy in Tokyo.

Hopefully one day one of these excuse of a complaint will turn into a armed conflict then full scale war just like the 1937 M.P. bridge incident. I’d really hate to think that Japan as a nation has completely abandoned their samurai ways and turned into turtling cowards after witnessing a fat guy and a boy. The commies are backward and evil, but they are a formidable and worthy adversary unlike the peasants Japan faced last time round. This will be a great test and I believe Japan will rise up to the challenge like it did before.

would the Chinese navy pilot have dared to get within
200 nautical miles radius of a United States carrier
battle group? I highly doubt it… the US CVBG would
probably have shot down the Chinese helicopter before
the Chinese pilot couldyell “don’t shoot! me just the
Chinese food delivery guy! didn’t you radio ahead
and ordered flied lice, general tso chicken, and bif
with blockoli” (that’s eaxctly what my local Chinese
food delivery guy sounds like

You don’t have to think, it’s bloody reality.

You see, for all the crying and whining from the Japan haters about how ‘racist,’ ‘xenophobic,’ ‘ignorant/denial of history,’ and war mongering every single Japanese person is, the simple fact is that the average Japanese person is softer than a bag full of marshmellows. The average Jp person cares little about taking up arms to fight their imaginary asian neighbors, indeed, the average Jp person seems to care more about the latest idols, the latest American box office blockbuster, and the latest cat videos.

Japanese have been emasculated in the media and public perception. Hence, they are such easy whipping posts for incidents such as whale and dolphin hunting, Toyota, etc. etc. I mean, what nation would tolerate its own ships being terrorized by “activists?” Japan is all bark but no action, and I don’t mean that in a mean spirited way, I mean that there’s hardly any sort of ‘bushido militaristic’ code.

Agreed. I was trying to explain to some Japanese friends one time that one thing about America is that it is immensely cathartic to be able to blow up the other guy’s stuff when he is being too stupid for words.

Now, I am not advocating going hog wild and randomly picking fights or anything like that, but just having the ability to do it. Like I posted below – don’t shoot at the helicopter, just turn your targeting radar on him. His radar warning receiver will light up like a Christmas tree, he’ll get a howl in his headset that will probably deafen him for a couple of minutes, and more importantly he’ll get the hint: “You’re too close, back off!”

North Korea kidnaps Japanese citizens, and what does Japan do? Well, nothing, actually. “We don’t have diplomatic relations, so we can’t even submit an official protest…” BS. Got proof they’ve done it? Great, start a dialogue: “We need to talk. No really, c’mere, we need to talk. Whaddya mean ‘no’? Ok, fine, fuggedaoutit.” – sometime after that a “baby food” factory near Pyongyang mysteriously explodes in the middle of the night. What are they gonna do? Give the Aegis cruisers and Patriot batteries some free target practice?

My friends didn’t seem to get what I was saying for some reason…

“The helo was 90 meters away from the ship (horizontal distance) at an altitude of 50 meters” says the JMSDF. And this is “very dangerous”? The Asayuki (the JMSDF ship involved) is only 130 meters long, and certainly not 50 meters high, so even if they were somehow able to do an instantaneous turn towards the helo, they still wouldn’t be near it. And a helo can get out of a ship’s way a whole lot faster than a ship can get in a helo’s way. Besides, that’s a Dauphin (OK, Harbin Z-9, license-built Dauphin) light utility helo. No weapons fitted. Worst case: someone inside has an RPG, and even then you don’t really want to fire off one of those from inside a moving helo.

Sheesh – the JGSDF flies Chinooks almost that close to our warehouse on a regular basis. And the boys from Yokota buzz directly overhead at probably 50-75 meters up on a regular basis. And the JMSDF is whining because a Dauphin came out for a look-see? Lock the damn fire-control radar on it, then, that’s why it was installed! Light ‘em up and see how fast they get away from you, fer cryin’ out loud.

They just want a motive to start a war.
Japan should get a strong army since they have very dangerous countries around them… not to start a war, just to defend themselves if they need. And tell USA to go back home!

(1) continued large presence of US troops on Okinawa

(2) Chinese navy running around Okinawan waters all the time

1, bring the matter into UN and wait and see haw it works.
