I’m guessing they don’t have a lot of human friends over as dinner guests.

Well, Curry Rice smells good
and in my opinion also tastes great,
so I surely can relate.

Just a note, haiku go by syllables.

I remember visiting a friend after I had just polished my shoes. She has a friendly white and gray cat that came up to my shoe and started to rub his face against the lug soles. There was this small black mark on his face from the shoe polish which his owner didn’t seem to notice, but I felt so guilty afterwards.

Several years ago, I spent 1 year and half in the Netherlands.
My Dutch friends introduced me to a specail curry… it was not
good, but nothing special. Well…. it turned out to be pretty
special. My friend told me that she always sprinkled some
ground-up dried marijuana leaves. It wasn’t enough to get high
from. (but we solved that after dinner by… well… you know…)

This could be somewhat faked, if they put catnip in the curry.

Some spices and herbs in curry may resemble Matatabi(Silver Vine) in smell.
Speaking of Matatabi, I have a bitter old memory.
When I was in England, a friend of mine gave Matatabi powder to a house cat. Then his host family saw the cat got crazy about it, and mistook it for…, you know, something inappropriate. We had a really hard time to explain what Matatabi is like, having a dictionary in one hand. That’s why “Silver Vine” is an unforgettable term for me.
