Kokuyo is a major stationery and office goods company in Japan. They have produced notebooks that are designed for easy decoration.

Kirarina is a series of waterproofed deco pen. It’s also compatible with rhinestones so we don’t need special glue to adhere rhinestones on the part drawn by Kirarina. Kirarina can be used on wood, pottery, plastic, clothes, and most of anything.

I have to say that putting decoration on something has become a boom now – we have Yuzawaya craft shop newly opened inside Shinjuku Takashimaya. Yuzawaya is a major handicraft shop in Japan and it should have been one of the last stores that occupies large areas of a shopping mall where young people like to come to shop. I was just surprised to find a small Yuzawaya having opened in Shibuya the other day! Look at what happens today. Those who have no connection or interest on handicraft, including myself, now like to hang around craft shop for the purpose of “deco”.

If you are interested in deco, there are ABC craft shop and Okadaya as well as Yuzawaya in Shinjuku.
