A Valentine for Sento-kun

Sento-kun, the creepy mascot of the 1300th Anniversary of Nara Heijo-kyo Capital, gets a Valentine’s Day cake from a female mascot character:

The cake had “daisuki” (“I love you”) written on it. He was very happy.

His rival, Manto-kun, also got a Valentine cake. Unfortunately, it had “friend” written on its heart. Ouch.

MC Okii Dokii

I was just in Nara this past weekend. Honestly, Sento kun freaks me out. How is this guy marketable?

I like Sento-kun. He is pretty creepy but I think he’s a better mascot that Manto-kun. Although, this may just be because that guy from TKO dresed up like Sento-kun to scare Downtown and friends during the New Year’s special two years ago.
