Leona Lewis interview on Japanese TV

Another week, another “Mezamashi TV” interview with a foreign celebrity that involves the presentation of weird gifts:
Leona Lewis was singing the “Avatar” theme song before a gathering of Japanese fans, some of whom got very emotional. Mezamashi put one of the pretty girls who models trendy new products every morning The interviewer is a big fan of Leona and presents her with a card expressing her feelings (–we’ve seen what happens when announcers try to read such cards aloud–). Because Leona Lewis’ new album is named after a fairy, Fuji TV decides to present her with some little Ge Ge Ge No Kitaro figures, since yokai are pretty much the same thing, right? Having no clue what the characters are, she is nonetheless asked to pick her favorite.

Christ – do these people not have publicists to tell them that wearing such a low-cut top in this country will make them look like a cheap Russian hostess?! No wonder all the men here think foreign girls are easy.

She’s OK, her singing was off, I guess cos of the accent…Titanic theme was way better..she looked so big compared to that interviewer..

I just noticed that and proceeded to laugh my ass off. It looks so funny. It’s like the disparity between the Na’vi and the humans in Avatar lol

I can’t remember where I saw it. But there was a report somewhere that said that a lot of japanese people didn’t realise that Churchhill is the reason most of them do the V thing during pictures

Some of those people in the crowd were hilarious. Although i can kinda understand the crying if they’ve seen the film.
