Do you believe in power spots?

There are several places in the world that are well known “power spots.” Above all, the one in Hawaii is very popular among Japanese women.

Especially since Japanese models and celebrities liked to go there, many people crazily visit power spots. They are just following the trend. It seems some people feel something on the spot. Some start crying for no reason. It looks weird, but I guess they are just too much stressed out of everyday life.

94 Japanese people that visited the power spot shown in the video in an hour or so of filming, but when it comes to American people it was only 3. This illustrates how passionate the Japanese are about power spots. No, I don’t think so, it’s just a fad. I guess these people will not be seen there this time next year or a few years from now.

My Gran has a liver power spot.

I can publish her German address if Japanese people would like to visit it.

If they bring a bit of wine or sake, I’m sure she’ll let you take a picture of it (Gran’s a bit of a tipster if you know what I mean).

The human mind is an imaginative and powerful thing. I don’t doubt that people who convince themselves that these are “power spots” actually feel something from them. But to think there is any external “power” causing these sensations is a bit silly and more than a little unscientific. The real science is looking into how we experience reality entirely through our brains and how, those of us who are passionate enough, can fool our brains into experiencing sensations that aren’t real.

PowerSpot is basically the concentrated energy area in FengShui or powergrid in Geomancy. They say people tend to heal faster in these concentrated energy spots.

It seems that they need more fresh air than power spot. We all have to breathe this Tokyo air polluted with chemicals from factories around Tokyo bay.

I come from a hardcore catholic background, so in my youth I went to catholic youth rallies with the family..etc etc. where fits of spontaneous crying, fainting, and laughter were a dime a dozen. I still dont really understand it. But I observed it usually happens to people that are susceptible to emotional swings.

I figure its some kind of placebo effect or self-hypnosis, but still I kinda admire how passionate people can get that they actually do that. Mind you, I ve never felt a strong connection with anything except, hamburgers, coffee, and cigarettes.
