In my language (indonesian) jalan means = walk, go, travel. perhaps they are using indonesian verb.. =P
On the Japanese wikipedia article, it says that indeed it’s named after the Indonesian word.
It can be in Bahasa Melayu too, not just Bahasa Indonesia.
Yay! for Salarycat
I saw this the other day on TV and instantly wanted it on youtube or something! Fantastic!
Plus, Jalan.net is a great website. I’ve used it several times myself.
Oh! So that’s why the cat says 私はにゃらん.
I was thinking “is らん some kind of honorific?” but it’s just a play of じゃらん
This is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen. I hope to see an entire series of these cat related commercials.
