this is really wrong, but maybe i can offer some information to put you more at ease. i’m a professional dog groomer and i work with dogs that need to be muzzled on a daily basis. a lot of the time, this is just a precaution that’s taken when the animal starts to show signs of aggression so that i can complete the job (like clipping toenails of aggressive dogs so that they don’t become too overgrown and destroy the bone structure of their toes.) though that muzzle the bear is wearing is more old-world than the construct of a more modern muzzle, the mouthpiece is the same. they do not hinder the animal’s ability to breathe and they do not hurt when they are worn. that muzzle isn’t excessively constricting his mouth, proven when he’s able to stick is tongue out in one scene. since it is a bear, they probably muzzle him just to prevent any sort of accident from occurring. while i don’t approve of something like this, he’s at least safe in that aspect. the condition of the animals shown in the video would suggest that this is also more of a high-end circus since they take impeccable care of their dogs’ coats (very important for poodles because matted dogs are subject to all sorts of very serious problems) and none of them look to be emaciated or sick. the conditions under which these animals are kept are most-likely not as horrible as they could be, but i agree that this is still wrong nonetheless.
