New Year’s Eve in Akihabara – 2009

January 8th, 2010 by James

akiba new year

Fuji TV shows us how some otaku spent the last night of 2009 partying at a maid cafe and an idol stage in Akihabara [beware- this clip contains a lot of sweaty men engaging in crazy dances]:

Pretty crazy on the super-otaku front.

I can’t figure out what/why they were shouting along with the chick singing “Don’t Say Lazy” at about the 3min mark. Very odd even for Akihabara.

I wanna go to Akihabara with a bunch of friends, dress as a maid then go into one of those mainstream maid cafe’s and sit on my friends’ laps. Then shout out “They paid extra!” rofl. ah good times.

What worries me most is that there are only men at the party! Except the young girls working to liven up the party.
Very disturbing the guy with the horse mask.
