Cheese Harmony pizza

Pizza Hut Japan’s latest creation, the Cheese Harmony pizza:
It’s got pieces of Camembert cheese thrown on top of normal cheese. There is also some fried cheese on the pizza. The crust is stuffed with a mixture of Parmesan, mozzarella, and cheddar cheese.
Does this pizza look tasty?

I would prefer there be more harmony between the cheese and the other ingredients. It sounds like a bread bowl filled with cheese fondue.

More Whiteman food that the Japanese can’t really digest. There’ll be more and more people getting ill in Japan thanks to foods like this.

Wait. What?
I find it hard to believe, but is there any actual truth to a Japanese persons digestive track being that different to someone of European decent?
That just sounds ridiculous to me.

I’ve heard that before. I’ve heard a few Japanese people say they cannot eat cheese. Maybe they are more susceptible to lactose intolerance? Would be interesting to see if there is any science behind it. Seems kind of hard to believe since I see yogurt is a popular drink here.

I read in a magazine that westerners shouldn’t have too much soy souce because our digestive track cannot process some component of soy sauce. Tried a quick search in google but I couldn’t find any article about it so who knows if it’s true.

A higher percentage of asians suffer from lactose intolerance, yes.

Lactose intolerance, yes. Lactose intolerance is common among groups that do not have a milk-drinking tradition past infancy (Japanese babies are obviously not intolerant). Cheese had an uphill struggle getting accepted in Japan, but as you can see, it (in the more generic varieties at least) is as common as anything.
Longer/shorter intestines belong with Nihonjinron until I see peer-reviewed research on the matter….

I don’t know any place in America, white or otherwise, that serves a pizza like that. Ick. They’re only selling it in Japan because the Japanese are willing to buy it.

Yeah, I mean, you’d never see pizza like that in Iowa…
http://www.thewedgepizza.com/riverside/specialty_pizzas.html
“Thai peanut sauce, chicken, red onion, fresh red peppers, juliene carrots and monterey jack, topped with seasame seeds.”
Or Boston, where you can get Fontina and Butternut Squash Pizza with carmelized onions at Harvard Gardens.
They’re only selling it in the US because Americans are willing to buy it, you know.

The picture makes the pizza look appetizing, but the video made it appear less so. In the video, it looks like the impossible was achieved by putting on too much cheese.

As much as I love Pizza Hut and their Pizzas, this looks like just too much, besides I’m not a camembert fan.

I ate this pizza last night. It was totally awesome but then I am a cheese addict.

It looks like it would give you a heart attack, so I’m going to go with “yes”.

I would only take the seafood out of it – I’m not that much into shrimps.

Shrimps aren’t terrible. I wouldn’t want one on my pizza though. This pizza doesn’t look horrible but a plain old pepperoni pizza and a little hot sauce is more to my taste.

Speaking as an American and pizza aficionado I can honestly say that looks disgusting. I wouldn’t eat it on a dare.

I had something similar to this monstrosity before and I have to say in all honesty, just trying to digest all that cheese, something that heart-clogging will take about a month or two. Besides, who puts Broccoli on pizza??!! Gross!!

Seriously, it is sometimes said that the combination of red and green (orange and brown) is a basic technique to stimulate appetite. Color is important. Red (tomato) and green (broccoli).

Well the average toppings on a pizza in Japan are certainly interesting but rarely to my tastes. I have to say though even in the states I find Pizza Hut barely edible, like I’d never buy one if I had a choice but if I was really really hungry I could eat it.
Personally I really like Sicilian pizza or maybe New York or Neapolitan style. Still looking for a good Sicilian pizza in Japan.

Corn-mayonnaise is the standard! Mushroom, seaweed, butter, and soy sauce combination is also good!

Hah, the mayo… that’s the one that gets me. I was so surprised to find mayo on so many dishes when I came to Japan. Maybe it’s ironic that something so non-Japanese as mayo is one of the few things I don’t like about Japanese foods.
You are right though corn and mayo is distinctly Japanese when it comes to pizza. Also seafood on pizza is fairly unique to Japan or Asia. I don’t mind that sometimes since there is a lot of seafood in Italian cuisine anyway.

And conversely, the pizza order girl thought I was taking the Mickey when I tried to order a curry pizza back home….
However after a visit to Italy my J wife has decided her favourite is Marinara (Napolitan-style). I tend to concur – Japanese pizzas these days are just getting silly.

Anyway, that’s appetizing. Where can I buy that paintings? Thanks PewPew!

This pizza is bad to see and probably is not so good. I’m italian and i know that american pizza is much popular all over the world, but is not like the original trademark from Italy.
Sorry to say but you must came in italy for eat the real pizza or go in some pizzeria(pizza restorant) from someone that know how make the italian pizza. This pizza look like the 4 cheese pizza.
