Vending machines taped shut to prevent terrorism

During President Obama’s visit to Japan, about 16,000 police officers were mobilized to provide extra security around Tokyo. Here’s a video clip showing some of the security measures taken:
The report says that trash cans, coin lockers, and vending machines were put out of service at many train stations. The primary method of preventing the use of vending machines appears to have been duct tape.

reminds me of the duct tape they used to hold together the “hospital” gowns during the plane flu checks. sheesh duck tape, so many used.

Nooo! Not the trash cans! It’s just as I had feared! I have no choice but to wallow in my own refuse now … oh the humanity!

My father also firmly believes that most problems in this world can be saved by duct tape. So on his fortieth birthday we gave him forty rolls of duct tape. ^^

I highly doubt a US president would be taking the public transit. So this is like securing the roofs of skyscrapers to prevent flooding.
Obama will be taking a motorcade to Tokyo. Probably studying how to seriously brown nose as many people as he can while in Japan. Remember all aging famous rock stars can still earn money in Japan after they are well past their prime.
