The left, on the other hand, covers a wide range. There is still a "middle left." E.g., there are many liberals who disfavor abortion rights, while it's nearly impossible to find a conservative who favors abortion rights. Liberals have disagreements all the time, and for the most part it indicates they are healthy and non-radicalized, though of course some are inevitably radical. The result is that you have a wide spread of viewers for liberal-leaning sites, since liberals will spread readership over many different perspectives. Though I believe there are more middle/liberals in American than conservatives, this creates skewed reader/viewership statistics. Fox News and Drudge get huge numbers, because the minority conservatives religiously visit the sites. More liberal sites may have only comparable or even worse numbers, despite in reality representing a larger portion of the populations' viewpoints, because the audience is not radicalized and thus doesn't zealously favor certain sites over others. That's my theory. I don't consider myself a liberal. I criticize Obama on spending, etc. But I know one thing.
