Is there any lower rung on the ladder of “journailism” than the “______-shaped _____” or “______ that looks like a ______” story?

And why is the J media-entertainment complex so obsessed with such stories?

Oh yeah. Cheap and no work required.

Journalism? What part of ナニコレ珍百景 do you not get? It’s not ナニコレジャーナリズム…

So it’s presented as entertainment. So what?

The “medai” part is pretty incomprehensible.

Anyway, again with the singling out of the “J media”. In case you’ve been living in a cave, you should know that most countries with television have this sort of “obsession” as you put it.

LOL. sounds like some journalists tryed the new Zen-meditation and hunted after the light like a cat? ooor. they just got a report-time but failed so they found its funny to report about heart-chaped lights instead about yakuza/gang/corruption scandal in that area.. reminds me those white places in the newspaper back in time..

What’s with this singling out of Japan again? It’s no worse than America’s Funniest Home Videos.

At least SOME of those videos are funny, and most of them involve something HAPPENING, right?

But thanks to Youtube, we can just watch the good stuff without the stupid sound effects or needing to see Bob Saget or whoever the “funny” host is these days.

No, not “right”, that is your opinion. One could say the opposite thing with AFV and ナニコレ珍百景 reversed.

Lol. Crosshatch-frosted windows are a new thing in Japan? I had those in my house for years.

The patterns only last like 30 minutes per sun cycle and then turn into crosshatch patterns just like the window.

If they covered the window with v-shaped clear spots it would make hearts whenever the sun hits it in varying sizes and positions. Methinks some masking tape would sort this right out.
