Nitpicking netizens claim that Yu-na Kim is buying her victories

One of the top viewed videos on YouTube Japan today is a video entitled “Why Yu-na Kim’s score is always CRAZY high ? Dirty Korean Money.” It examines footage of Yu-na Kim’s figure skating and determines that there were errors judges intentionally ignored in the scoring process:
It was uploaded by a user called ChinaUniteKorea. The user’s favorites include a patriotic videos about the beauty of China, as well as several classic anti-Korean YouTube clips created by Japanese netizens. The stats for the video show a high number of hits coming from 2channel’s referral url and several hundred views coming from Korean websites that discovered the video.
Last weekend saw some tough competition between Kim and her Japanese rivals at the Paris Grand Prix, and Kim left with the gold medal. The video’s popularity is likely fueled by the fact that Kim set a new world record with her final score at the competition, crushing Mao Asada of Japan by a huge margin.

Korean netizens contact employer of American Dokdo/Takeshima researcher, force him to stop posting Rola Chen photos angers Chinese netizens This just in: The Natto Diet is bullsh*t. |

You know, as an American I like to think I have a pretty big grasp on racism. It seeps through into almost everything in America unfortunately.
But then I look at China/Korea/Japan and the multitude of feuds and bitter racism that breaks out between all of them, much of it over very old events, or completely stupid stuff like the dokdo islands. People are willing to protest and throw around racist terms and overall lower themselves for the sake of some rocks. It’s just amazing.

Amazing that some people in those three countries are just as stupid as some Americans?
I would have thought that was obvious. People are stupid.

This has got to be one of the most childish retorts. “.. as stupid as Americans” you couldn’t come up with anything better than that?

but he said “some Americans” so that makes it OK, right?
Just as if I said “as dishonest as SOME Australians”
“as rude as SOME French”
“as pompous as SOME Brits”
“as crazy as SOME Arabs”
“as, as…
dammit can’t think of anything bad about Canadians.
But can’t we all agree that half the people in the world are of below average intelligence?
And nationalism is an easy hobby for them.
That doesn’t mean it’s impossible that international sports officials take bribes, though.
Even conspiracy nuts get SOME things right.

I must agree with you that some of the feuds between Korea/Japan/China indeed stem out of pure hatred and unjustified bias, resulting in posting videos like this that are obviously made of 100% malicious intent. And it is understandable that the three countries may come off as almost incomprehensible for not being able to get over the old history and move on but instead build hatred upon hatred year after year.
However, it is regrettable that you are judging based on these little hiccups by some less civilized people. You are obviously not from any of the three countries, probably have never heard of or cared about the rich history these very old countries have shared for so long. Dokdo islets are not some “completely stupid stuff” or “some rocks” that people use for simple racism or protests. These islets represent and are significant for so much more, as do the surrounding sea, surrounding history, and preceding events to the current date.
Racism is stupid, which I think you agree (thankfully). Prejudice, not just racist prejudice, but the kind you elicited in your post, the kind of ignorance, is however just as equally stupid. So I hope if you want to continue to voice your opinions on the bittersweet relationship between Korea/Japan/China, I strongly advise you to get a bit more educated on the pertinent issues first before speaking out like this in the future.

I guess such an overreaction to the word “Takeshima”or”Dokdo” would make him sick.
Anyway, in every events (WBC,football, skating, olympic, etc)some people in the three countries have damned each other in fact. Maybe,it looks to other people in the world like a stupid or hopeless. www

Let’s look at the bright side of things. After all there are a lot of Japanese fans of Korean entertainers and Chinese martial arts, and there are a lot of Chinese and Korean fans of J porno.

I love how the user goes through the trouble of pretending he’s Chinese in order to make an anti-Korean video.
Which reminds me,
“If you can’t win, whine!”

Don’t make generalizations from FIFA. I believe there should be some honest sports as well.

No. I don’t like the fact that today’s sports competitions are all about achieving sensational glory and winning blindly.
Just let you know, I personally hate soccer with extreme passion.
