The shoes indeed look unglamorous. But isn’t that the point of any CM? Getting you to think that a product is desirable, when it clearly is not? By having homely shoes worn by attractive women, being oogled by a man – an exotic foreign man, no less! – makes those homely shoes appear glamorous.
