I sink he was good in this episode. Seriously, what interesting can be seen in sewage plant ? He tries to make a little fun. I wish I could have achieved his Japanese level.

Of course they don’t use chemicals – seems like a dumb question to me, but I guess most people don’t know that?

Tokyo has greatly improved sewage management with the tertiary treatments mentioned at the end (why Stewart can drink the water), but not mentioned is the use of combined sewers (storm and sanitary sewers combined).

During periods of heavy rain, treatment centers are bypassed, and everything from the toilet ends up in the river or ocean.
