I really don’t understand the people here.
The post says that the Korean robot was planed before the Japanese robots, than wouldn’t this mean that it is Japan that is trying to compete with Korea?

eh…. I’m Korean (American) and even I find that commercial pretty tacky. Especially the dialogue at the end.

1) “If you misbehave, you’ll get punished” (usually spoken to unruly children).

2) “Dokdo is not by itself” (i.e. Dokdo is not alone)

Seesh… couldn’t make it anymore jingoistic could they.

Well, I am definitely not expecting it to start leaning or be uprooted and knocked down by strong gusts of wind across the broad surface or collapse under its own weight from the reinforcements to withstand the wind or catch on fire from all the lights and smoke that’s sure to be included to dwarf the gimmicks on the gundam. What’s humorous is that there is also a news link at the top of the main Japan Probe website, about Korean claims to Manchuria, which seems to be amusing Chinese.

Anyhow, it seems that whenever the Koreans engage in stereotyping and stirring up animosities, it is under the guise of ‘patriotism’ or the like.

But when Japanese engage in stereotyping and whatnot, it is an example of Japanese xenophobism and racism, lol.

In further news, North Korea announced they will be building a giant statue of Pulgasari, 150 meters tall, even bigger than Taekwon V! South Korea will of course retaliate with a bigger statue of something until, eventually, under the weight of increasingly gigantic robot and monster statues the entire Korean peninsula sinks into the ocean, leaving nothing but a few giant heads above the surface which are then noted on maps as ship navigational hazards.

Once again, the South Koreans trying to justify how their epeen is bigger. I can’t wait to see an insurgent plot involving this giant robot statue.

It would be funnier to watch than most of the giant robot animes from Japan, even.
