Japanese TV show sends bus full of people into the sea

They just don’t make TV shows like they did back in 1992 (skip about 8 minutes into the clip for the actual lower of the bus into the water):

Damn, that is messed up.

But you know, while the content is different it looks like most of the stars are exactly the same – Beat Takeshi, that fat rakugo guy, even the announcer lady looks familiar. Do you think they’re bored having to do tame material now, or maybe they’re thankful the producers aren’t torturing them in public anymore?

Show is called “Desperate for money” (I forget the Japanese name). Why this show ended ? It has original ideas.

Only in Japan can you be on a game show where theres the very real possibility of meeting a cold and watery death while a camera crew and a guy dressed like a chicken watch on and laugh hysterically.

you can really tell that point of ‘oh-my-god-they-arent-playing-around-theyre-really-trying-to-kill-us!’ at around 8:30, at least the girl made a half ass attempt at a headcount to see if everyone made it out of the bus. =/

Half-assed? She seemed to be really concerned and worried, judging from her facial expression.

I must admit, I laughed when people where falling from the bus into the water while trying to get the guy out of the water who fell in earlier, but still, that stunt was quite dangerous, even though they had a rescue crew in a boat waiting.
