A story so important that it requires CG toilet simulation

The exhaustingly sensational coverage of Noriko Sakai’s drug arrest continues. Fuji TV news put its graphics team to work recreating the cell in which Sakai is now being held (complete with a display of what it must be like for her to sit on the toilet):
At the end of the clip, we get to see what a police interrogation room looks like. Amazing stuff.

Could they not just have bought one of her old AV’s?
What always gets me about the news shows here is how they have background music for all the reports.

Sounds like the OJ trial, but hopped up on crack.
I’m really amazed at how overboard they go with CGI, animations, and props for news reports in Japan. Does it really require all that to keep the average Japanese person interested in the report? Seriously.

It emphasises the importance of this case where a Japanese talento has fallen into sin through the influence of foreigners.

Hehe, nice one.
I always try to think that japanese prison cells look exactly like portrayed in the Simpsons cartoons, completely with your own Geisha, Yukatas and paper walls.
