Canada on the commerce front is devoid of activity other than raping the Earth and might as well be a subsidiary to the US, but at least here we’ve got REAL freedom.

Being in aerospace industry, names like Bombardier and Pratt & Whitney Canada come to mind. On the IT front, Maple V, Research In Motion (BlackBerry), and ATI. Never been to Canada, but that’s what Canada is to me.

We also have minerals, including diamonds. The sea ice in the Arctic is opening up to a new trading route. We are one of the world’s top producers of energy- we have plenty of resources.

Life in Canada is pretty good anyways. We have millions of people who would like residency.

You should look a little more into how much of that wood and power that we supply to the US and the rest of “world market” before you write it off as a subsidary of the US. If you wanted to play the old “who has more to offer game,” one could wonder: what does the US have to offer? Lax gun laws, obeisity, and religion controlled states?

Come on, are we all still really that ignorant? Yeesh.

Canada has oil/gas, wood and nature. Past those I am really hard pressed to find anything worth marketing to the Japanese. Face it, Canada is very simply a subsidiary of US operations.
