You’ve gotta love the dramatic way TBS News filmed this report about an alligator snapping turtle that was caught in Kanagawa Prefecture:

Can I just ask, is there any chance of getting subtitles on these videos in the future? Since youtube has a built in subtitling system.
It’s just, it’s kind of boring to watch a turtle, especially when you don’t know what they’re saying.

I speak Japanese, and I didn’t hear anything important or worth translating in that video. It’s a turtle. It bites stuff while Evangelion music plays. What the police officer says isn’t really important.
Subtitling takes a lot of time. If you send me $50, I can rip and re-upload this video with subs. How about that?

It is funny how the cops looks so much like a cops… I mean is it in the gene, predestined thing… No matter the country they look the same… isn’t it?
I am lucky I don’t look like a cops… what a job! hehe

THe cop had a bullet proof vest. Why on earth would you need one in Japan? I have seen it quite a few times in Japan actually, often in rural places. The cops would be standing outside the koban with a bullet proof vest in a town which has never ever in history has had a gun related crime.
