Underwear thief caught on tape

Yesterday’s “Real Time News” had this special report about a man being caught in the act of underwear theft:
The thief, a 42-year-old with a family, was stealing underwear while on his way home from work. It was not the first thing this kind of thing had happened, and the victim had set up a camera to catch him in the act. When an NTV reporter chased the man down and confronted him, he admitted his crime. Police were summoned and he was arrested.
(About 2 minutes and 15 seconds into the video clip, he reveals all the underwear he had stuffed into his coat.)

It’s kinda sad but he deserves it. If he has a family, where does he hide it all at home? Wouldn’t his wife find it?

This looks fake. I know people usually admit to their crimes under police interrogation but this guy just calmly says, “oh yeah here is all the evidence of my weird crime” when confronted by someone with a camera? Why would he do that?

I agree, my bullshit detector went off when he just casually pulls it all out. Plus, they usually do ALOT more blurring in these situations

I haven’t watched the clip since my browser’s acting up, but when I read that the TV crew was there AT THE SAME TIME, I felt a twinge of skepticism. Not saying it’s real or fake, just thought that was a bit of a coincidence unless he steals her underwear every day.

The same “Real Time News” that caught the flower thief, right? I’m really convinced now that a security firm like Secom is pushing these “news stories” with paid sponsorship.
