This guy is a dead ringer for the “Dennis” character on 30 Rock, the main character’s loser ex-boyfriend who runs the only pager store left in NYC. And judging by this video they think alike too.

Ah, just realized that this video was posted here by the author, so I should have said YOU look and act like the Dennis character in 30 Rock.

Just how are we going to keep dead people’s brains alive so they can continue on in the Second Afterlife? Are we just going to keep millions of people on life support for as long as possible so they can farm gold in World of Warcraft? I mean I get what you’re saying and all but come on.

Hey genius, before blitzing us with your remarkable intelligence, do even just the slightest bit of current science reading. I think Dennis from 30rock would be more of the type to go trolling in blog comments rather than the guy who starts a discussion about where tech might be taking us.

Dennis would invest in a shiso coke vending machine located in a basement behind two “security personnel only” doors of a struggling club in a dark alley in Shinjuku, and be proud that he is now a business owner.

The idea of plugging yourself in to a game network reminds me a little bit of this dark anime a friend showed me a few years back. Unfortunately I can’t remember the name of it.

I don’t think it’s a really far-fetched idea. Consider in the Ender’s Game series the idea of “The Nets” where Peter and Valentine take on the alternate egos of Locke and Demosthenes – Isn’t that what we’re using right now – The social web?
