seriously, fuck Fuji TV. They have, by a fair margin, the worst news broadcasts of any of the major stations in Japan (and that is saying something, considering my general disdain for most Japanese news coverage in the first place). This example serves to do nothing more than reinforce this fact. They should take their fear-mongering, pointless news items and ridiculous models and puppets they utilize to communicate to their audience and leave the news to people who actually have some clue about journalism.
