Junichiro Koizumi makes fun of Prime Minister Aso

May 15th, 2009 by James

Former Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi spoke before a student group the other day, telling them that “you don’t have to be able to read kanji” to become prime minister of Japan:

The remarks are quite clearly aimed at the current PM, Taro Aso, who is known for his kanji-reading blunders.
