A Japanese-looking woman is someone who looks distinctively Japanese. She doesn’t look that way to me (not that it really matters).

I was referring to her appearance, not her actual personality. I meant that beauty pageants always look very generic (for example, Rena Tanaka is very pretty, but she could never be a beauty pageant because she just doesn’t fit the mold).
