Emily Miyasaka* has won the 2009 Miss Universe Japan pageant:
This title will make her Japan’s official representative at the main Miss Universe pageant, which will take place in August.

Beauty pageants almost always look boring to me, even if they’re Japanese. They can’t have too much personality since they’re supposed to appeal to as many people as possible.
