Japanese Scatman
Koichi Yamadera , the same guy who did an impersonation of Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World“ earlier this year, recently tried to imitate Scatman John:

Would have been nice to reference the actual song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wR43iwu3G_8) rather than the pudding advert.
But this is probably the first homage to Scatman I’ve seen in a long time, if not, ever. A fitting tribute, since he was very popular in Japan.
He’ll be missed. Everyone still loves the “I’m the Scatman” song, and these Japanese tunes are very fun too. Until now I never knew he did any specialty songs in Japanese.
He actually did a great thing for people with speech disabilities. One of the better musicians of my childhood.
I love Yama-chan. He’s super! He has so many different voices, it’s incredible XD
